  tonight i saw a commercial on tbs.

  there were three people in an elevator, an older woman, a man, and a child.

  as customary in elevators, everyone nodded to greet one another.

  Its questionable as to whether people would intervene in behalf of the child. Too many times these days the old saying, "no good deed goes unpunished" rings true. People of conscious and those that can "relate" I'm sure would act on such circumstances, but the majority I'm afraid would not want to "get involved". Its sad that a person's own "comfort" would come before the persual of justice for the innocent.

  For that matter, how long before certain "groups" make pedophelia socially acceptable. A "disease" that should be pittied and "understood". It shines a poor light on humanity that a commercial like that is even necessary.

  Pedophiles can be cured! Carefuly administered, high velocity dosages of lead!

  Funny Memory

  in the coffee shop this morning they were playing eddie money's two tickets to paradise.. i love this song, but haven't heard it in a while and it brought back the funniest memory.. when the song came out when i was a kid, i remember my mother laughing at it and saying, "if only eddie money knew that we really have two tickets to paradise," (namely the watchtower and awake).

  hee hee.

  actually it's kind of pitiful that i can't even listen to an eddie money song without some bizarre dub flashback!.

  evil does not exist. hurtful actions are caused by malfunctioning brains and not an evil spirit. actions are caused by our neuronal networks.

  If your assumptiom stated above is to be considered factual then I would submit that bueaty does not exist, or color for that matter as they are but the interpretation of electrical impulses, by our brains, from the stimulation of the eye by rays of light.

  Music would therefore be nonexistant as well as it is just varying sound wavws impacting the ear drum and again translated by our brain into recognizable and enjoyable stimuli.

  Just because a certain something can be reduced to its most basic scientific causal and effectual definition does not make it nonexistant. Nor does it nulify the termanology associated it by society, be they "educated" or "lay".

  Why you have chosen to dismiss abhorant behavior using the excuse of misfiring nuerons or some such biological defect, is beyond me and I feel a rather flimsy argument base.

  If "evil doers" are that mentaly defective, removal from the gene pool would seem the "logical" course of action, be it through detention or execution.

  Myself I would choose the latter and save the taxpayer the cost of attempting to rehabilitate a mentaly defective, violent, consciousless, cold hearted, drug using, drunk driving, self centerd monster.

  i haven't read any of the books, but i saw the first movie.

  i do some stuff that would be laballed occult by the wt, yet i didn't see any of that there.

  what song makes you turn up the car radio and start singing!.

  song that kicks in the automatic pilot and takes over.. i heard a bunch of "steely dan" on the radio today and most of the songs i had completely forgotten about.

  they made some good songs in the 70's/80's.

  i was in a car acident about 9 months ago and the lawyer handling my case sent me a form today to list my friends who could state what my condition was before the accident and after.

  problem with that is i was a jw for close to 30 years and have been fading for about a year.

  i couldn't get them to do that unless i made a come back to the meetings and i am too glad to be free to ever go back.

  Have your lawyer write to the congregation and ask for affadavits from some of your past associates. Perhaps with the lawyers letterhead staring them in the face they will respond rather than project to an outsider a bad image of their congregation, and you won't have to muddy your feet in the hall again.

  To be honest, you people are the only friends I have. So I guess I would have to say, I like it here too. Its like meeting for coffee with my friends every day and not having to get dressed up! Sure ocasionaly some one shows up in a bad mood and wants argue, but all in all this is a great place.
